Patreon Salary Fundraiser
Jieun & Greg are a Brooklyn-based, singer-songwriter duo made up of Jieun Ko and Gregory Michael Ko. They are also the founders and co-hosts of the Asian American podcast, Gajok: a podcast about the joys, the struggles, and the beauty of being Asian American. The two met in Los Angeles in January 2013, while working together at Liberty in North Korea, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with the North Korean people as they achieve their liberty. They have been making music together ever since, and their accomplishments include releasing two EPs, going on multiple cross-country tours, and having fans worldwide.
In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and Jieun's Korean heritage, Jieun & Greg will be performing an exclusive fundraising benefit show to fundraise their salaries via Patreon, a monthly subscription platform for artists and creators to earn income for their creative work: patreon.com/jieunandgreg! Jieun & Greg will be performing all their unreleased, original songs they've written over the last two years. They will also be sharing personal stories about their relationship, their family, Jieun's Asian American identity journey, and how pursuing music and an artistic career has molded them into the people they are today. All the funds raised at this show will go directly towards Jieun & Greg's artistic careers, goals, and projects.
